Congregants Flee as Active Shooter Rams Truck Into Christian Church in Michigan, Opens Fire – Suspect Ran Over, Then Killed by Armed Security Guard (VIDEO)

On Sunday morning, the peaceful atmosphere at Crosspointe Christian Church in Wayne, Michigan, was shattered by a horrifying attack. A 31-year-old man, driving a truck, deliberately rammed his vehicle into the church building. Without any warning, he jumped out and started shooting, sending people into panic and chaos. Families who had come to worship were suddenly running for their lives, screaming and ducking for cover.
Inside the church, an armed security guard was on duty. As soon as the gunfire began, the guard quickly moved to respond, trying to protect the congregation. In the middle of the chaos, one of the church deacons made a bold and dangerous move. He managed to hit the shooter with a vehicle, either knocking him down or slowing him enough to give the security guard a clear shot. This action possibly saved many lives, as it gave the guard the moment he needed to act. The guard fired his weapon and fatally shot the attacker, ending the threat before more harm could be done.
Unfortunately, one person was caught in the crossfire and was shot in the leg. That victim was treated and taken to the hospital. Their condition has not been fully confirmed yet, but authorities say it was a non-life-threatening injury.
Police officers quickly arrived at the church after the shooting began. The area was sealed off, and investigators started working immediately to gather evidence and figure out the motive behind the attack. At this time, it is still unclear why the man targeted the church or whether he had any connection to the people inside. The police have not released his name yet, and the investigation remains active.
The Wayne Police Department posted a message on Facebook warning residents to stay away from the church while officers continued their work at the scene. They also confirmed that the shooter had been killed by the security guard and that only one victim had been injured. Authorities praised the quick response of the church’s security and the brave actions of the deacon, saying their efforts likely prevented a mass tragedy.
Churchgoers are still in shock, struggling to understand what happened. What was meant to be a peaceful Sunday of worship turned into a nightmare. Many of them are now gathering together in prayer and supporting one another as they try to recover from the trauma. Community leaders have also stepped in, offering counseling and support to those affected by the violence. The church has promised to increase safety measures going forward, and local officials have vowed to stay by the side of the community as they heal from this senseless act of violence.
