Donald Trump could be hauled off to jail’: MAGA allies issue panicked plea to GOP lawmakers

Over the weekend, people closely aligned with the MAGA movement began to panic, with one lawyer linked to Donald Trump openly warning Senate Republicans that serious trouble could be ahead.

The tension started after Curtis Houck from NewsBusters, a media watchdog group that says it fights liberal media bias, shared a clip from a liberal political commentator. In the video, the commentator talked about what Democrats should do if they manage to regain full control of power in Washington.

During the discussion, actress and podcaster Jennifer Welch spoke bluntly about what she believes would happen if Democrats returned to power. She suggested that a major Democratic victory would lead to congressional investigations targeting Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and several other high-profile figures. In her view, lawmakers would call them in to answer tough questions and demand explanations for what she described as ongoing wrongdoing. She went as far as saying she believes crimes are being committed on a daily basis.

Houck highlighted this clip as a call for “accountability” and argued that Welch, whom he described as an influential Democratic voice, was effectively promising widespread prosecutions of Trump and Republicans if Democrats regain control. According to Houck, she framed this kind of aggressive action as the only way the country could truly move forward and heal.

Houck also pointed to a separate interview involving journalist Jim Acosta and Welch, claiming it went even further. He said Acosta suggested Democrats should expand the Supreme Court if they retake Congress, implying that doing so could clear the way for Trump to face prison.

These comments set off alarm bells for Mike Davis, a former Republican staffer who is well known for his sharp and controversial posts on social media. Davis has previously been mentioned as a possible candidate for a top legal role in a future Trump administration.

In response, Davis wrote an emotional and urgent message aimed directly at Senate Republicans. He warned them that if Democrats ever regain control of the White House, Senate, and House at the same time, sweeping changes would follow quickly.

He claimed Democrats would eliminate the legislative filibuster, expand the Supreme Court, and add new states that would likely send more Democratic senators to Washington. He also warned that election laws and safeguards would be completely rewritten. His message ended with a blunt demand for Republicans to pay attention now, before it is too late.
