AOC Claims Elon Musk is ‘Not a Scientist or Engineer’ — Insists He is Just a ‘Con Man With a Lot of Money’ (VIDEO)
Far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) from New York recently criticized Elon Musk’s qualifications during a committee hearing. She questioned his expertise, especially in areas like medical and biomedical engineering, as his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to uncover fraud and waste in the federal government.
AOC argued that DOGE didn’t exist two years ago, and issues like inexperienced people making decisions or creating unfair systems for scientists weren’t happening back then. She called Musk a “billionaire con man” with no real scientific or engineering background, despite his wealth. She even joked that if people believe he’s an expert, she has a “bridge to nowhere” to sell them.
While it’s true Musk doesn’t have formal engineering training, he does have a physics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, which technically makes him a scientist. His companies are leaders in science and engineering, and he has transformed industries like cars and space travel. He’s also working on projects like Neuralink, which aims to help people with paralysis.
AOC, however, claims Musk’s work is a scam. The Democratic Party seems to agree with her, as they shared her comments on social media. This isn’t the first time AOC has criticized Musk’s intelligence. Last month, she called him “one of the most unintelligent billionaires” she’s ever seen and said he lacks the knowledge and expertise to have so much influence over the government. She also described him as “morally vacant” and clueless about the systems he’s involved in.
