Body language expert ‘reveals’ chilling reason for Putin’s hand gesture after Trump flies nuclear bombers over president’s head

When Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin finally met face-to-face in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 15, the world’s attention was locked on every handshake, every look, and even the sky above them. The two leaders arrived at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, where they walked down red carpets before meeting in person.

As they strolled together along the tarmac, the calm was broken by the roar of four F-35 fighter jets and a B-2 Spirit bomber soaring overhead. The B-2, capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear weapons, is often seen as one of the strongest symbols of U.S. military power. The flyover happened just moments after both presidents landed, creating an unmistakable backdrop for their highly anticipated meeting.

During the three-hour talks, the two leaders tried to negotiate a peace deal regarding the war in Ukraine, but no final agreement was reached. Trump later told reporters that “progress” had been made, though he admitted some issues remained unresolved.

But what caught many people’s attention wasn’t just what was said — it was how Putin reacted to the thunder of jets above his head. Body language expert and psychic Inbaal Honigman pointed out that Putin’s body stiffened as the aircraft passed overhead. She explained that Putin’s hand moved closer to his pocket in a subtle but telling gesture. According to her, this reaction reflects the Russian leader’s “gunslinger gait,” a habit believed to come from his KGB training, where one hand always looks ready for action. Even surrounded by security, she said, Putin instinctively prepared himself as if he might need to respond personally.

Honigman added that both men seemed visibly impressed by the display. Trump clasped his hands with pride, clearly delighted, while Putin followed the bombers with his eyes and head, appearing unwilling to miss a second of the show. At one point, Trump touched Putin’s arm, which Honigman interpreted as a friendly gesture meant to show that the display of U.S. air power was also in Putin’s honor. Putin’s small nods in response, she suggested, showed respect for Trump’s symbolic gesture.

Another body language expert, Darren Stanton, gave a different angle. He noted that while the red carpet welcome and flyover might look like flattery, it could also be read as Trump sending a clear reminder: the U.S. has the weapons, the technology, and the strength to match Russia.

While the leaders didn’t reach a peace deal, the meeting left behind as much spectacle as substance — with military jets, symbolic gestures, and subtle body language adding to the drama of their encounter.
