Canadian Politician Reveals How ‘Gangster’ Trump’s Imminent Visit Has Triggered Alarm

Charlie Angus, a Canadian politician who recently stepped down from Parliament, is speaking out with a serious warning. He says that Canada can no longer see the United States as a close friend or trusted partner, especially while Donald Trump is in charge.

Angus has been very critical of Trump for a long time, and now, as Trump plans to come to Canada for the upcoming G-7 summit in Alberta, Angus is raising his voice again.

He called Trump a “gangster president,” someone who acts like he’s above the law and doesn’t follow the rules that leaders are supposed to respect.

Angus said he’s been getting messages from hundreds of Canadians who are upset and frustrated that Trump is being allowed into their country, even though he has been found guilty of crimes and has openly threatened Canada’s independence.

Angus understands that Prime Minister Mark Carney might not want to start a major fight with Trump. He knows that dealing with someone like Trump is complicated. But he says Canada has to stop pretending everything is normal.

In his view, Trump is not just a difficult leader  he’s dangerous. Angus believes Trump is a real threat to democracy in the U.S., to Canada’s ability to make its own decisions, and even to the rules that the world has agreed to follow.

He also talked about how Trump treats Canada harshly, often insulting the country or trying to push it around. At the same time, Trump has shown a much friendlier attitude toward countries like Russia and leaders like Vladimir Putin, who many see as dictators.

To Angus, this difference in Trump’s behavior is worrying. It shows that Trump might not respect countries like Canada and could even want to take more control over them  he warned that Trump has made it sound like he wants to turn Canada into just another U.S. state.

Angus repeated that Canada should no longer pretend that the U.S. under Trump is a friendly neighbor. He said clearly that Canadians need to face reality: Trump, in his view, is not just a political opponent — he’s a threat to the values and freedom of both Canada and the wider world.
