Donald Trump Drops Bombshell on Why He’s Letting Immigrants Stay — But His Supporters Feel Betrayed

President Donald Trump has announced a new plan that could allow undocumented migrants working in the United States to stay in the country. He admitted that this idea might upset some of his strongest supporters, especially those on the far-right, but he believes they’ll eventually understand the reasoning behind it.

Speaking at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, Trump said that many immigrants have worked for years on American farms and in the hotel industry.

Some of them have been in these jobs for over a decade, and suddenly kicking them out, he said, would be unfair.

Trump emphasized that farmers and business owners know these workers well and depend heavily on them. Because of that, he wants to work with the farmers and hotel owners to create a system that allows these workers to stay legally, as long as they continue contributing positively.

Trump pointed out that the people hiring these workers  especially in agriculture and hospitality  should take more responsibility. If one of their workers is found to be a violent criminal or causes problems, then the employer will be held accountable.

He even joked that if a farmer doesn’t do a good job managing their workers, the farmer could be the one kicked out of the country instead.

He gave credit to his Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, for raising the issue. She reportedly told Trump that farmers were losing too many workers due to immigration raids. Trump said that after hearing this concern, they started working on a legislative solution.

In fact, last month, Trump ordered immigration officials to stop conducting surprise raids on farms, restaurants, and hotels.

This came after business owners complained that they were losing reliable, long-time workers they couldn’t easily replace. On social media, Trump wrote that America’s farmers and people in the hospitality industry need protection too.

As part of his plan, Trump wants employers to help identify any dangerous individuals among their workers. This way, good, hardworking migrants can stay, while those who cause harm are dealt with.

Even though some people on the far-right might not be pleased with the idea, Trump believes they will eventually agree that it’s a smart and fair solution.
