Donald Trump Explodes on CNN’s Kaitlan Collins After She Dares to Ask About Supreme Court Defiance

During a meeting at the White House with El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, former U.S. President Donald Trump lost his temper with a journalist, Kaitlan Collins from CNN. She asked him why his administration wasn’t following a Supreme Court order involving a deportation case.

Specifically, the court had ruled that a man named Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who lived in Maryland and is originally from El Salvador, needed to be brought back to the United States after being wrongly deported. He had ended up in CECOT, a harsh and well-known prison in El Salvador. The government admitted that deporting him was a mistake caused by a paperwork error.

When Collins brought up that Trump had previously said he would follow Supreme Court orders, he interrupted her and dismissed the question. Instead of answering, he suggested she should praise him for keeping “criminals” out of the country. He also insulted her credibility, saying no one watches her anymore.

Meanwhile, U.S. officials argued that the court didn’t have the authority to interfere because they considered this an international issue now. On the other side, President Bukele said he had no plans to get involved. He sarcastically asked reporters if they expected him to smuggle Abrego Garcia back into the U.S., adding that his country doesn’t like the idea of releasing people they see as dangerous.

Abrego Garcia’s lawyers say he was sent back to El Salvador even though he had legal protection in the U.S. and was trying to escape violence from gangs in his home country.
