Donald Trump hits out at reporter after being asked Jeffrey Epstein ‘cover up’ question

During a cabinet meeting at the White House on Tuesday, July 8, a reporter asked Attorney General Pam Bondi a question about Jeffrey Epstein, following a Justice Department memo released the day before. Before Bondi could respond, President Donald Trump jumped in and reacted strongly.

The memo, which was first shared by Axios, stated that federal investigators found no proof Epstein was murdered, even though many people still believe he didn’t kill himself.

It also said there was no secret list of powerful people he had blackmailed, nor any evidence that he worked with intelligence agencies.

Basically, the report claimed there wasn’t enough evidence to start an investigation into anyone who hasn’t already been charged.

The reporter asked Bondi to clear up some details in the memo. They specifically wanted to know if Epstein had ever worked for the U.S. or any foreign spy agency and why there was a minute missing from the security footage of the night he died in jail.

Trump cut the reporter off before Bondi could answer, clearly irritated. He said, “Are you still talking about Epstein? This guy has been in the news for years.

We’ve got important things going on, like what’s happening in Texas, and you’re still asking about this creep? That’s unbelievable.”

Eventually, Bondi responded to the question. She said that back in February, she had mentioned during a Fox interview that she had a file on her desk related to Epstein, and that’s what she was referring to when she talked about the “client list.

She clarified that the material included a large number of videos, but they were actually child pornography collected by Epstein, which will never be made public.

As for the question about Epstein being a spy, Bondi said she didn’t know anything about that but would follow up. Regarding the jail video, she explained that the missing minute wasn’t suspicious. .

According to the Bureau of Prisons, the system resets every night, and that same minute is always missing on the footage. She said they were trying to release more footage to show this happens routinely.

In the end, Bondi emphasized that while the final video wasn’t completely clear, the other evidence made it clear that Epstein had taken his own life.
