During a meeting in the White House, Trump reportedly asked his advisers if Maxwell had said anything about him.
Trump has publicly acknowledged knowing Maxwell for a long time. When she was arrested, he said in a press briefing, “I just wish her well.” That comment surprised many people and raised eyebrows about just how close their relationship might have been.
