Donald Trump Rages Into the Night at ‘Disloyal Republicans’ After Bombshell Supreme Court Smackdown

President Donald Trump stayed up late posting angry messages online after the Supreme Court dealt a serious blow to one of his biggest economic policies. The court ruled that he could not use emergency powers to impose the tariffs he had been pushing, and the decision clearly hit a nerve.
Earlier that day, Trump held a press briefing where he sharply criticized the ruling. The Supreme Court voted 6–3 against his emergency tariff plan. What seemed to frustrate him the most was that some conservative justices joined the decision, including Chief Justice John Roberts and two judges Trump personally appointed, Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett. The three liberal justices also voted against him.
Trump spoke with obvious anger during the briefing. He argued that the tariffs were meant to protect American workers and stop foreign countries from taking advantage of the United States. In his view, the court had stepped in and blocked something he believed was helping the country economically.
But his reaction didn’t end with the press conference. Later that evening, Trump began posting a series of messages online, accusing both the court and members of his own party of being disloyal. Around 7:04 p.m., he wrote that the justices who voted against his tariff policy should be ashamed. He called the ruling ridiculous and insisted his team would find other ways to bring in even more money through new trade measures.
Not long after, Trump singled out Gorsuch and Barrett, clearly upset that judges he helped put on the bench ruled against him. He complained that Democrats rarely face this kind of internal disagreement, arguing that Democrats tend to stick together while Republicans often turn on each other even when he believes they are right.
He also criticized Chief Justice Roberts, reminding followers that Roberts was not his appointee. Trump accused him of siding with decisions that allow foreign countries to continue benefiting at America’s expense. Despite the loss in court, Trump promised that new tariffs were already being prepared and would move forward through other legal routes.
As the night went on, Trump’s posts became more focused on party unity. In a final late-night message, he complained that Republicans often hurt themselves by failing to stand together. He urged members of the party to unite, stay loyal, and focus on winning.
The late-night posting spree showed how deeply the ruling frustrated him. For Trump, the decision was not just a legal setback but also a political one, and his messages reflected both anger at the court and growing concern about divisions within his own party.
