A South African priest has made a shocking claim, saying the end of the world could be only a couple of weeks away. According to him, Jesus is set to return to Earth on September 23rd and 24th, 2025.
This year has already been full of chaos—wars breaking out in different parts of the world, leaders showing off dangerous weapons, and constant warnings about a possible World War 3. With everything happening, it’s no wonder that talk about “the end times” has been spreading quickly.
Over the years, many people have claimed to know when the world will end. Some of these voices include Athos Salomé, often called the “Living Nostradamus,” the late mystic Baba Vanga, and even a Ghanaian TikToker who built his own version of Noah’s Ark, expecting a worldwide flood. Now, Pastor Joshua Mhlakela has joined that list with his bold declaration.
In a YouTube video that has been watched more than half a million times, Pastor Mhlakela said that Jesus appeared to him in a vision. In that vision, Jesus told him clearly, “I am coming soon.” The pastor went further, claiming that Jesus gave him exact dates—September 23rd and 24th, 2025. If he is right, then the world has less than two weeks before life as we know it changes forever.
According to Christian teachings, the “rapture” will happen when Jesus returns. In this event, believers in Christ, both the living and the dead, will be taken up to heaven. Those left on Earth will go through terrible suffering before Christ finally returns again to bring the world to an end.
Interestingly, September 23rd also falls on the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, known as the Feast of Trumpets. Many rapture-watchers see this as another sign, since the Bible often connects the sound of trumpets with the return of Christ.
Pastor Mhlakela is not alone in his belief. Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, who mixes Jewish traditions with belief in Jesus, has also said he believes the rapture could be tied to the Feast of Trumpets. He explained that it makes sense because the symbolism of trumpets in the Bible matches the idea of Christ’s return.
But not everyone agrees with these predictions. Many Christians point out that the Bible also says no one will know the exact day or hour of Christ’s return. They argue that setting a specific date goes against scripture itself.
Still, with the predicted date just around the corner, curiosity and fear are building. Some people are preparing for what they believe could be the most important moment in human history, while others remain skeptical, reminding everyone that throughout history, similar predictions have come and gone without fulfillment.
Whether true or not, the world will find out soon enough. For now, all eyes are on September 23rd, waiting to see if it will be just another ordinary day—or the beginning of the end.
