A new photo of former President Donald Trump, taken on Thursday, has caused a big reaction online. In the picture, a golden statue of a bald eagle in the White House Cabinet Room is positioned behind Trump’s head in such a way that it looks like he has a pair of “devil horns.”
Many social media users quickly began commenting and sharing the image. One person on X (formerly Twitter) named “Madd_Gigi,” who often criticizes Trump, wrote “Fitting!” in response to the photo.
The picture was taken during a cabinet meeting that included Trump and several top officials from his administration. The photographer, Jim Watson, who used to work for the U.S. Navy, captured the shot at just the right angle for the eagle’s raised wings to appear like horns on Trump’s head. Democratic strategist Keith Edwards then shared it online, jokingly writing, “New picture of Trump with devil horns just dropped.”
The post spread quickly, gaining nearly 900,000 views in less than a day. Many people commented on the symbolic look of the photo, comparing it to something out of a story or a movie.
Adam Cochran, a professor and policy consultant with a large following, commented, “Biblical — just not in the way MAGA expected,” referring to Trump’s supporters. Another user, “Brisologyu,” who usually posts about cryptocurrency, called Trump “Lucifer, bringer of light.” Someone else, using the handle “F— You I Quit,” wrote that pictures showing Trump with horns seem to happen “too often to be coincidence.”
A few people even compared the photo to a recent South Park episode that joked about Trump being close with Satan. One user, “Ken Akehurst,” quipped, “It’s the lovechild foretold in South Park,” referencing that scene.

Others pointed out how Trump supporters might react differently if the situation were reversed. “If this was behind Biden once, MAGA would’ve been holding prayer circles daily outside the White House,” joked a user named “Ari,” a TikTok creator and marketer.
In short, what was likely just an unlucky camera angle turned into a viral internet moment, sparking humor, criticism, and plenty of debate online.
