‘It’s like Joe Biden’ – Donald Trump suffering from ‘alarming cognitive problems

Donald Trump is once again being compared to the president who came before him, as fresh questions are raised about his mental and physical health.

Donald Trump has been accused by critics of showing what they describe as worrying changes in his behaviour. Some commentators have gone as far as comparing him to an alcoholic or even a dementia patient, despite the fact that Trump does not drink alcohol and has repeatedly insisted he is in good health.

Over the past few months, the President’s mental sharpness and physical condition have been closely watched and widely debated. The discussion intensified after White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles reportedly described Trump as having an “alcoholic’s personality.” Although she later pushed back, saying her comments were taken out of context, she accused the magazine interview of leaving out important details and painting the administration in a chaotic and unfairly negative way.

The criticism did not stop there. Trump biographer Michael Wolff has now claimed that Trump’s behaviour is more like that of a dementia patient. Speaking on a podcast, Wolff suggested that Trump’s emotions and reactions appear less controlled over time, with anger and self-pity becoming more obvious. He said there are moments when Trump speaks and people around him immediately sense that something is wrong.

Wolff also compared the situation to past claims about how Democrats allegedly shielded Joe Biden from scrutiny over his own mental state. According to him, there is no real system in place to objectively assess a sitting president’s cognitive health. He argued that just as Biden’s issues were said to be quietly managed behind the scenes, the same lack of transparency now applies to Trump.

Trump, for his part, has strongly rejected all claims about declining health. He has repeatedly said he has passed cognitive tests with top scores and remains mentally sharp. The White House has backed this up by releasing medical updates, including the results of an MRI scan, which officials say showed no problems at all.

Questions have also been raised about visible bruising on Trump’s hand in recent photos. However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed any concerns, explaining that the marks were simply caused by the President shaking hands with large numbers of people every day.

Despite the reassurances, the debate continues. Supporters say the criticism is exaggerated and politically motivated, while critics argue that the public has a right to question the health of someone holding such a powerful position. For now, there is no official diagnosis, only growing public discussion and sharp disagreement over what people are seeing and what it really means.
