JD Vance reacts to Donald Trump and Elon Musk feud following Epstein file claim in heated X rant

Elon Musk has replied to a video clip showing Vice President JD Vance speaking about the recent drama between Musk and former President Donald Trump.
Earlier this week, JD Vance reacted to the very public disagreement between Trump and Musk. It all started when Musk posted several angry messages on X (formerly Twitter), accusing Trump of being connected to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier involved in a major sex trafficking scandal. Musk later deleted the post, but the controversy had already spread widely. Trump responded by calling Musk “crazy” and said he was disappointed in him.
The tension seemed to grow after Musk left his position with a government advisory group and criticized a new government bill Trump had supported. Musk mocked the bill, calling it “ugly” instead of the “big and beautiful” label Trump had used. At one point, Musk shared a post suggesting Trump should be removed from office and replaced by JD Vance.
When Vance was shown Musk’s Epstein claim during an appearance on the podcast *This Past Weekend with Theo Von*, he seemed surprised and said it was the first time he had seen that post. He strongly denied the accusation, saying Trump had done nothing wrong involving Epstein. He dismissed any claims tying Trump to Epstein as “nonsense” pushed by Democrats and the media.
Vance made it clear he supports Trump, saying he’s loyal to him and hopes Musk will eventually come around and repair the relationship. He also said Musk might be acting out because he’s not used to the political world and feels like his companies are constantly under attack since getting involved with the government.
Musk later responded to the video of Vance expressing hope for reconciliation with a one-word reply: “Cool.”
Vance said that although Trump is clearly irritated by Musk’s recent comments, he’s been trying to keep things calm. Vance believes the situation could be resolved if Musk just took a step back and relaxed a bit. While he said Musk has a right to his own opinions, he also thinks it’s a bad idea for someone as influential and wealthy as Musk to be openly fighting with someone as powerful as the U.S. president. He said it’s not helpful, especially since he believes Trump is doing important work for the country.
