JD Vance SNUBS Donald Trump on Live TV — Names His “Best Friend” in the White House!

Vice President JD Vance is once again making headlines  but this time, it’s not for his loyalty to President Donald Trump. During a recent appearance on the New York Post’s Pod Force One podcast with Miranda Devine, Vance surprised listeners by naming someone else, not Trump, as his “best friend” in the White House.

When asked about his closest ally in the administration, Vance didn’t hesitate. “Marco Rubio is my best friend in the administration,” he said, referring to the U.S. Secretary of State. “He and I work a lot together, and I think a lot of the good work we do as an administration happens because we’re all able to work together.”

His statement quickly sparked speculation about whether there might be tension between him and Trump, who is known for expecting unwavering loyalty from his team. But Vance dismissed any such idea. “There’s not going to be any tension,” he said firmly.

Vance went on to explain that he focuses on doing his job well rather than thinking about future power or politics. “I never want to wake up and think, ‘How do I make myself president?’ What I wake up and think is, ‘How do I do a good job as Vice President?’” he said. He also described any talk of a potential “Vance-Rubio 2028 ticket” as premature.

Interestingly, both Vance and Rubio share a fascination with aliens and UFOs. During the podcast, Vance mentioned that he and Rubio have often discussed the topic, even back when they were both senators. “Marco’s very interested in this, too. We’ve talked about it before. I really want to dig into it,” Vance said, showing a more curious and light-hearted side of their friendship.

Despite his remarks, Vance continues to publicly support Trump on social media. Just last month, he and his wife, Usha Vance, hosted Donald and Melania Trump for a private dinner at the Vice President’s residence. Posting a photo from the evening on X, Vance wrote, “It’s always a good time when you get to have the boss over for dinner! Usha and I were so grateful that President Trump and our lovely First Lady, Melania, could join us.”

However, Vance’s relationship with Trump hasn’t always been smooth. Before joining Trump’s inner circle, Vance was once highly critical of him. In the past, he even referred to Trump as an “idiot” and “America’s Hitler,” comments that later resurfaced in Politico. Observers have also noted moments of visible tension between the two, pointing to Vance’s awkward glances at Trump during public events  including one caught on camera earlier this month and another back in August.

Recently, Vance also found himself in a public spat with MSNBC host Jen Psaki. During her podcast, Psaki said that “JD Vance wants to be president more than anything else” and that he’s “scarier in certain ways than Trump.” Instead of engaging with her criticism of Trump, Vance responded only to her comments about his wife, Usha. “It’s disgraceful,” he said. “But of course, the Second Lady can speak for herself. I’m very lucky to have a wonderful wife, and I hope she feels the same about me. I’m honored to have her by my side on this journey.”

For now, Vance appears focused on maintaining his image as a hardworking and loyal vice president  even as his recent comments about his “best friend” Marco Rubio suggest that the dynamics inside Trump’s White House might be more complex than they appear.
