Kamala Harris Takes a Quiet Swipe at Trump’s Health on Jimmy Kimmel Live! — “He is Just Unwell” (Video)

Kamala Harris has finally spoken about the growing rumors surrounding Donald Trump’s health, even though she did so in very few words. Harris, who went head-to-head with Trump in the 2024 presidential election, made the comments during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
She was on the show to promote her book, 107 Days, but the conversation quickly moved beyond the book and into politics, including questions about the current president’s well-being. For months now, especially since the start of Trump’s second term, political observers and health experts have pointed to signs they believe raise concerns about his condition. This is despite Trump repeatedly insisting that he is in perfect health.
During the interview, host Jimmy Kimmel brought up how Trump and his supporters relentlessly attacked former President Joe Biden over his age and mental sharpness. Trump famously branded him “Sleepy Joe” and continued to mock him even after winning the election.
Kimmel reminded viewers that Trump had once gone as far as replacing Biden’s official White House portrait with an auto-pen, claiming Biden was running the country on “auto-pilot” because of supposed health problems. With similar concerns now being raised about Trump himself, Kimmel asked Harris whether this situation showed clear hypocrisy on the Republican side.
He pointed out that Republicans harshly criticized Biden for aging, yet now appear silent as Trump is reportedly seen falling asleep during meetings, struggling with paperwork, and showing signs of physical decline. He then asked Harris directly if she felt this double standard was hypocritical.
Harris didn’t give a long answer. Instead, she sneered slightly and replied with just two words: “Ya think?” Even though it was brief, the response spoke volumes. It made clear that she sees the situation as deeply hypocritical and is clearly frustrated by how Trump and his allies apply one standard to others and a different one to themselves.
Later in the interview, the topic came up again when Kimmel talked about Trump’s frequent false statements and questioned whether the president actually believes what he says or simply expects people to go along with it. Harris responded by adding another pointed remark, suggesting that “or he is just unwell,” further fueling speculation about Trump’s condition.
Her comments come at a time when online discussions about Trump’s health are growing louder. By the end of his second term, Trump would become the oldest president in U.S. history. Many people have noticed recurring bruises on his hands, which he often appears to cover with bandages or makeup.
Observers have also pointed out that Trump has significantly cut back on public appearances and often does not begin his official duties until late in the day. There have been reports of him dozing off during important meetings and struggling to remember key details, raising more questions about his mental sharpness.
Despite all this, the 79-year-old president continues to insist that he is in excellent condition. He frequently boasts about passing cognitive tests, something medical experts warn can sometimes be a sign of overcompensating rather than reassurance. In October, Trump even bragged that he had undergone an MRI scan and claimed the results were “as good as the doctors had ever seen.”
Health professionals, however, have argued that the bigger question is not how good the results were, but why the president felt the need to undergo an MRI in the first place. With Harris now openly reacting—even briefly—to these concerns, the debate over Trump’s health is likely to intensify once again.
