Melania Trump was seen standing beside her husband, Donald Trump, during a military parade held to celebrate his 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. The event took place outside the White House. Melania wore a stylish white pinstripe suit, while Trump wore his usual dark suit with a red tie.
During the parade, the couple was seen briefly holding hands and smiling, which is unusual for them in public. While this moment appeared warm on the surface, body language expert Judi James believes there were signs of tension between them. She noticed Melania doing small, repetitive hand movements or touching her hair—both of which could suggest she was feeling uneasy or nervous.
Trump, on the other hand, looked more relaxed but not particularly engaged. Judi pointed out that while Melania smiled widely, Trump only gave a tight-lipped smile and slouched forward, resting his elbows on his knees. His body language suggested that he wasn’t fully present or excited about the ceremony.
Judi also said that Melania appeared to be standing more stiffly than Trump, almost like she was copying the formal military posture of a man standing nearby. However, when Trump did speak to her, Melania seemed to brighten up—she leaned in and smiled more naturally, which showed a glimpse of their connection.
As the parade went on, it seemed the President got tired. A photo started making the rounds online showing Trump sitting with his eyes closed, looking like he might have fallen asleep. Social media users quickly mocked the moment, saying it looked like he couldn’t even stay awake at his own birthday celebration. Some joked that it was past his bedtime, while others criticized him for being disrespectful during a military event that cost taxpayers millions.
The event didn’t go smoothly in other ways either. Across the country, there were protests under the slogan “No Kings,” pushing back against what some see as Trump’s authoritarian style. One protest even included a large statue of Trump sitting on a toilet, which drew a lot of attention and added to the spectacle.
On a more serious note, all of this happened against the backdrop of rising international tensions. Trump warned Iran not to involve the U.S. in the ongoing conflict after Iran launched missile attacks on Israel, which responded with strikes of its own. Trump made it clear that his government wasn’t involved in the attacks but issued a stern warning to Tehran not to provoke the U.S.
At the same time as the parade and protests, violence was escalating in the Middle East, with many people killed or injured. The situation remains tense, and Trump’s strong words have raised fears that the conflict could spiral into something even more dangerous.
