Michelle Obama has finally spoken out about the rumors that she and Barack Obama are getting divorced. She made it clear they’re still together and strong, saying she’s just been focusing on herself and making her own decisions.
People started talking after she skipped some big events, like Donald Trump’s inauguration and Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Her absence sparked gossip about trouble in her marriage. But Michelle addressed it head-on in an Instagram post on Father’s Day, sharing an old family photo and praising Barack for always being there for them. She wished him and other dads a happy Father’s Day, showing support and love for her husband.
Last year, the couple celebrated 32 years of marriage, and Michelle has spoken about the rumors on several podcasts. She said that if they were having problems, people would definitely know, because she wouldn’t hide it. On her podcast, she explained that she skipped Trump’s inauguration for personal reasons, not because her marriage was falling apart. She said people often assume the worst instead of realizing a woman can just make choices for herself.
Michelle also talked about the pressure women feel to please everyone and said she felt guilty stepping back from the public eye. But ultimately, she did what was best for her. She reminded people that just because she’s not in the spotlight as much doesn’t mean anything is wrong.
Even though she’s stepped back a bit, she hasn’t disappeared. She gave a powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention and said she’s still passionate about important causes, like education for girls.
