‘No f—ing way!’: Dem leader rages at Donald Trump Republicans in scathing video

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer from New York posted a passionate video on Tuesday criticizing former President Donald Trump and Republican members of Congress for causing the government shutdown.

In the video, Schumer accused Republicans of taking away people’s health care and refusing to renew funding for Obamacare subsidies, which are about to expire. He said that Democrats were standing firm against any Republican spending plan that doesn’t protect those health care benefits.

Schumer said the shutdown happened because Trump and his party were focused on cutting health care for millions of Americans just to give tax breaks to wealthy donors. He called their actions a disgrace and said Democrats refuse to let them destroy the health care system.

He reminded people that Republicans have been trying to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, which was created under former President Barack Obama. Schumer mocked Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” calling it a “big ugly betrayal” because it cuts $1 trillion from health care funding. According to Schumer, this bill would make insurance premiums skyrocket by 93%, raise costs for 22 million people, and cause 4 million others to lose their insurance entirely.

He said that even people not using Obamacare would still see their insurance costs go up. In New York, he warned that families could face $2,500 higher bills and that nearly half a million people could lose their health coverage. He said this issue isn’t about politics—it’s about people’s lives.

Schumer blamed Trump and the Republicans for the government shutdown, saying they would rather let the government close than work together to protect health care for millions of Americans. He said Democrats are fighting for the people and will keep working to fix the situation.

It’s still uncertain when the shutdown will end since neither party seems ready to compromise. Trump has blamed Democrats, but most Americans think he and the Republicans are responsible.

A CBS News/YouGov poll found that 39% of Americans blame Trump and the GOP for the shutdown, 30% blame Democrats, and 31% think both sides share the blame.

The poll also showed that most Americans disapprove of how both Trump and Congress have handled the situation. Only 32% approved of Trump’s response, 28% approved of how Republicans in Congress were handling it, and 27% approved of the Democrats’ handling of the shutdown.

Disapproval rates were high across the board: 52% disapproved of Trump and the Republicans’ actions, while 49% disapproved of how the Democrats were managing things.

In short, Schumer’s message was clear—he believes the shutdown is the fault of Trump and the Republican Party, who are more interested in helping the wealthy than protecting everyday Americans’ health care. Democrats, he said, will keep fighting to make sure people don’t lose their coverage.
