People horrified after Trump makes outrageous demand because his escalator stopped working at UN meeting

Donald Trump didn’t take it well when things went wrong during his time at the United Nations meeting.

At the event in New York, he faced a few problems, and his reaction has caused a lot of people to talk. First, while riding an escalator in the building with Melania Trump, it suddenly stopped working.

They had to walk the rest of the way up. According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, this might not have been an accident. She pointed to a report from *The Times of London* where UN staffers had joked about shutting down the escalators and blaming it on budget cuts.

Trump also complained about a teleprompter malfunction and said there were sound problems during his speech, claiming world leaders in the audience couldn’t hear him unless they used translation earpieces.

UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric later explained that the escalator stopped only because someone in front of Trump had triggered a safety mechanism. As for the teleprompter, he said it was run by the White House itself, not the UN.

Trump, however, didn’t buy it. On Truth Social, he posted a long message saying these issues weren’t accidents but sabotage. He demanded an investigation, said the Secret Service was already involved, and accused the UN of staging a “triple sabotage.” He also claimed that the people responsible should be arrested and promised to send a letter directly to the UN Secretary General.

The reaction online was harsh. Many people mocked him for overreacting, saying it was ridiculous to treat a broken escalator or sound issues as a conspiracy.

One person joked that Trump acted like a king demanding punishments for minor problems, while another called him “a mega baby.” Others dismissed it as a classic case of “first world problems,” pointing out that he was furious just because he had to walk up stairs. Another summed it up by calling him “the most fragile man alive.”
