Psychologist shares startling warning about Donald Trump’s newest addiction: ‘He gets off on it!’

A well-known psychologist has raised serious concerns about Donald Trump, warning that he may be developing a dangerous new obsession.

Dr. John Gartner, who used to teach at Johns Hopkins University, spoke during an episode of The Daily Beast Podcast with host Joanna Coles. He said he believes Trump’s mental state is getting worse quickly. According to him, Trump’s sense of self-importance is growing stronger, and this may be pushing him toward enjoying fear and conflict more than before.

Gartner said he is worried that Trump could be becoming addicted to war or already is. He explained that Trump seems to take pleasure in it.

He pointed to a past moment when videos were shared online showing real missile strikes mixed with video game-style clips, making destruction look entertaining and less serious. He claimed that Trump continues to watch similar clips regularly, which could be encouraging this mindset.

The psychologist also said this behaviour may be linked to what he described as malignant narcissism. He explained that people with this kind of personality can feel a strong sense of pleasure from power, especially when it involves hurting, controlling, or bringing others down.

He added that his main concern is that Trump may be enjoying the fear he creates and the idea of destruction, saying that this kind of reaction could be dangerous not just for individuals, but for entire countries.
