Tensions in the Middle East are rising fast, and it looks like the United States might soon get involved. Recently, there have been missile attacks between Iran and Israel, and this conflict is pulling global attention especially toward former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump was recently asked whether the U.S. would step into the conflict. His response was unclear—he said he might, or might not, take action. He even left the G7 meeting in Canada early to deal with the situation, raising concerns about what could be coming next.
Soon after, a U.S. military plane known as the “Doomsday plane”built to survive a nuclear attack was seen flying over American skies. This rare appearance caused alarm and made many fear that a major war could be close.
Reports say Trump met with top national security officials and gave his approval for a possible attack on Iran if such a plan is presented to him. However, other sources say he still hopes Iran might agree to stop developing nuclear weapons, and he’s holding off for now to see if that happens. Trump later explained that he likes to wait until the very last moment before making a final decision.
The White House confirmed that all options are still open, and no final move has been made. But other countries are watching closely—especially Russia, which is allied with Iran.
A Russian government spokesperson warned that if the U.S. gets involved, the situation in the region could become far more dangerous. She pointed out that nuclear sites in Iran are already under attack and questioned why the rest of the world isn’t more concerned.
She also warned that the world could be on the edge of a nuclear disaster.
Another senior Russian official said Moscow has urged the U.S. to stay out of the fight. He mentioned that many Iranians have already died, and some Israelis have been injured. Iran’s Supreme Leader added his own threat, saying that if the U.S. joins the war, the cost would be high and that Iran would never surrender.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia doesn’t plan to get involved directly. He said they’re only sharing their views, not trying to force any actions. He emphasized that it’s up to the leaders of Iran and Israel to decide what happens next.
Before he left the G7 meeting, Trump posted on social media urging people in Tehran, Iran’s capital, to evacuate. He also said Iran should have agreed to the deal he proposed long ago, warning again that Iran must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.
By June 18, Trump told reporters he had run out of patience. He said he was done trying to make peace and suggested it might be time to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities completely.
This ongoing situation is extremely serious. If the U.S. decides to take military action, it could cause an even larger conflict, possibly involving more countries and putting many more lives at risk.
