“Shut Up You Pathetic Little Hypocrite”: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Torches AOC for Backing Ukraine War Under Biden, Then Pretending to Be Anti-War

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene harshly criticized Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, calling her a “pathetic little hypocrite.” Greene was reacting to AOC’s recent anti-war statements, saying it’s hard to take her seriously because she once supported U.S. military involvement in Ukraine during President Biden’s time in office. Greene accused AOC of pretending to be against war now just because it fits her political image.

AOC, a Democrat from New York, had earlier spoken out strongly against former President Donald Trump when he ordered military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. She said his actions were dangerous, reckless, and should lead to impeachment. She claimed Trump had violated the Constitution by not getting approval from Congress before using military force, which she believed was a serious abuse of presidential power.

Soon after the strikes happened, AOC publicly criticized Trump. She described the attack as a terrible decision that could drag the United States into a long and costly war. She said this kind of action could have long-lasting effects and put future generations at risk. Alongside other Democrats, she began pushing for articles of impeachment, arguing that Trump had ignored the War Powers Resolution by bypassing Congress.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), AOC wrote that the President’s decision to bomb Iran without asking Congress first was a clear violation of the Constitution. She said his move was not only dangerous and impulsive but also enough reason to begin impeachment proceedings.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, however, called out what she saw as a clear contradiction. She said AOC is now pretending to be against war, even though she previously voted in favor of funding the war in Ukraine—a decision that helped the very administration she often criticizes. Greene argued that this kind of behavior is common among Democrats: they support foreign wars when it suits them politically, then act outraged later to look morally superior.

According to Greene, AOC’s change in attitude shows that her anti-war stance isn’t genuine, but more about scoring political points. She accused AOC and other Democrats of being inconsistent, supporting military action when it’s popular within their party but pretending to oppose it when it becomes politically risky.
