‘Signs everywhere’ suggest America’s MAGA ‘nightmare’ is almost over: writer

Former pastor and writer John Pavlovitz wrote on Monday that every harsh and oppressive movement eventually falls apart and he believes the MAGA movement is heading in the same direction. He said the signs of its decline are already showing everywhere.

He explained that throughout history, whenever a society leans too far toward cruelty and division, the swing eventually comes back even stronger toward justice. In his view, this is exactly what is happening now.

Pavlovitz said that anyone who knows history can see that MAGA is likely coming to an end. He believes the nation is living through the final moments of this long and painful political chapter. According to him, most cult-like movements collapse once their leader is gone, and he argues that MAGA will not survive after Donald Trump leaves the White House — or passes away.

There has been a lot of public concern and speculation about Trump’s health. People have pointed out his age, changes in his behavior, and a less active schedule. Some medical experts and commentators have openly wondered whether these are signs of decline, especially after questions about an MRI reportedly done in October. The White House insists he is in excellent health, but many observers remain doubtful.

Pavlovitz, however, did not hold back. He wrote that Trump’s physical and mental condition is clearly worsening. He described Trump as someone who struggles with simple tasks, looks exhausted, and appears to be dealing with serious health issues. He also said Trump’s mind seems increasingly confused and unstable, with more impulsive outbursts and desperate decisions. The image of “strength” Trump once projected, he argued, is falling apart.

He continued by saying that Trump has become a lame-duck president with less power and less influence. According to him, the system that once protected and elevated Trump is cracking. More people are speaking out against him, and his opponents are becoming louder and more organized.

Pavlovitz wrote that even within Trump’s own party, loyalty is fading. Some Republicans are distancing themselves, and others are quietly abandoning him. He also argued that many of the online accounts that appear to support Trump aren’t real people but bot networks.

He believes Trump’s political influence has reached its highest point and is now declining. No amount of political messaging, he said, can bring back the power Trump once had.

He went on to say that Trump encouraged people to embrace their worst instincts — to hate more loudly, to ignore compassion, and to push aside their own religious and moral beliefs. Pavlovitz believes this is why MAGA grew so strong, but also why it will fade once Trump is no longer there to fuel it.

Still, he doesn’t think Trump’s supporters will suddenly change or become peaceful overnight. He warns that some of them may react with anger, violence, or desperation as they see their influence slipping away. But he also says this is a clear sign that they know their time is limited.

For everyone else, Pavlovitz encourages hope. He says the fall of MAGA, whenever it fully comes, should inspire people to keep moving forward and believe in a better future. He ends by reminding readers that time, age, and term limits eventually bring every political era to an end.

According to him, the end of MAGA is approaching — and he believes a new chapter for America will rise after it is gone.
