‘Slurring’ Donald Trump Fuels Dementia Concerns During Forgetful Moment on Asia Tour: ‘His Health Is in the Gutter’

Donald Trump has once again sparked public concern about his mental sharpness during his recent visit to East Asia.

While attending a CEO luncheon on Tuesday, October 28, as part of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea, the U.S. president appeared to forget the name of Armenia a slip he’s made multiple times before.

During his speech, Trump began boasting about his supposed record as a global peacemaker but stumbled when trying to recall the nations involved in a conflict he claimed to have ended.

“We saved millions and millions of lives with all of them. Azerbaijan… if you look at, if you look at… Just take a look at that one. That was going on for, I think, 38 years,” Trump said, pausing and clearly struggling to remember Armenia’s name.

He went on to describe a meeting he held between the two nations at the White House, saying, “The two countries came in, and they were in the White House and they started off here, and they got closer and closer and closer,” while bringing his fists together to demonstrate. “After an hour they were hugging each other and peace it was amazing actually, it was beautiful to see.”

Observers noted that this was not the first time the 79-year-old Republican leader has forgotten Armenia’s name. Reports indicate that he has done so at least four times.

Just last month, Trump appeared alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and repeatedly confused Armenia with Albania during a press conference. A week earlier, he made the same mistake during a Fox News interview, and the first instance reportedly occurred back in August during a conservative radio appearance.

After a video of his latest slip went viral on social media, critics quickly raised concerns about his health and possible cognitive decline.

“Is it just me, or does Trump sound awful? His health must be terrible,” one user commented. Another wrote, “His voice has changed it’s weaker and higher-pitched. He sounds tired and frail.”

Some online reactions were far harsher. “Even before the dementia, he wasn’t smart,” one person said. Another added, “Memory fades faster than truth in politics.”

Many users pointed to signs of possible slurred speech or confusion, with one commenter asking, “Is the slurring really bad today or is it just me? The stroke theories are really heating up.” Others mocked the former president, writing, “Are his batteries running out, or is he having a stroke?” and “This conman won’t make it before the midterms. His health is in the gutter.”

The debate over Trump’s health has been ongoing for years, but each new public stumble like forgetting the name of Armenia seems to reignite the speculation about whether age and stress are beginning to take their toll on the former president.
