Trump enemy drops forceful response to new attack: ‘Can’t keep my name out of his mouth’

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz strongly pushed back after President Donald Trump went after him again. Walz says the president continues to bring up his name in speeches and interviews because he wants to drag people into fights and distractions. Walz made it clear he is not interested in playing that game.

Walz has already talked publicly about the impact of Trump’s words. After Trump used a hurtful slur that targets people with developmental disabilities while criticizing him, strangers began driving past Walz’s home and yelling that same insult out their car windows. He said this shows how powerful people can encourage cruel behavior when they use hateful language. Even so, Walz insists that he is not going to be shaken by it.

In his latest response, Walz said Trump just can’t resist attacking him, even from one of the most powerful rooms in the world — the Oval Office. But Walz said he does not “give a damn” about what Trump calls him on TV or anywhere else. What matters to him, he explained, is protecting families in his state from what he sees as damaging, chaotic decisions coming from Trump’s administration.

Walz said leaders should be focused on making people’s lives better, not tearing others down with insults and bullying. He believes Trump is trying to throw him off track, but he refuses to let that happen. Walz said there is too much on the line right now — families struggling, people worried about their rights and safety, and communities facing real challenges — for him to waste time trading insults.

He promised to keep fighting for what he believes is right and to defend the progress he says Minnesota has made: support for public schools, health care access, and policies that help working families. Walz said that his mission has always been to serve the people who elected him and to look out for neighbors who may need help.

The governor ended his remarks by stressing that he is more determined than ever. Instead of backing down, he plans to keep moving forward, continuing his work, and asking his supporters to stand with him so they can push back against the negativity together.
