Trump labeled ‘insecure’ after people learn ‘petty’ and ‘pathetic’ spot he has put Obama’s portrait in White House

Donald Trump is being criticized for another move that appears aimed at Barack Obama, adding to the already tense relationship between the two former presidents.
Last month, Trump accused Obama of “treason” over claims related to the 2016 election, which Trump won against Hillary Clinton. He even shared an AI-generated video showing Obama being “arrested.” Obama’s office dismissed the accusations as “bizarre” and “ridiculous,” and it’s considered extremely unlikely that any real legal action will happen.
Now, Trump is facing backlash after changing the placement of Obama’s official presidential portrait inside the White House. The portrait, unveiled in 2022, was originally displayed in a prominent spot by the grand staircase.
When Trump returned to the White House, he had it moved to the Entrance Hall and replaced its original position with a portrait of himself surviving an assassination attempt.

According to CNN, the portrait has now been moved again—this time to a “secret staircase” used only by a few White House insiders, such as members of the first family, Secret Service agents, and select staff. This means most visitors will never see it.
Portraits of former presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush were also moved to the same restricted area. Sources say Trump personally oversees details of the White House’s appearance.
The move has sparked widespread criticism online. Some called Trump “hilarious and insecure,” while others said his actions are “petty” and “pathetic,” suggesting that hiding Obama’s portrait won’t erase his legacy. California Governor Gavin Newsom also joined in, posting, “Small men hide from history’s giants.”
The White House, as well as Obama’s and Bush’s offices, have not yet commented on the situation.
