Trump slammed after announcing ‘disgusting’ new product that has people questioning if it’s even legal

Donald Trump recently used his social media platform, Truth Social, to promote a new item that’s already selling fast. The product is a line of perfumes called Trump Fragrances, and although he’s not the creator or official seller, Trump is openly supporting and advertising them.

These fragrances are being sold online through a website called “gettrumpfragrances.com.” The branding around the perfumes is very focused on Trump’s image, with packaging that includes his raised fist and gold-colored statues. The site says the scent is meant to represent strength, power, and victory — and is targeted at “patriots who never back down.”

Trump explained that the perfumes are called “Victory 45-47,” referencing his past presidency as the 45th and his hopes of becoming the 47th president. He claimed the fragrances are for both men and women and encouraged his followers to buy not just for themselves but also for friends and family, saying, “Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!”

The perfumes cost between $199 and $249. Despite the high prices, four versions are already listed as sold out, showing that many of his supporters have rushed to buy them.

Trump also appears in a promotional video for the perfumes on the website. While some fans seem excited, the reaction from the public has been very mixed. Some people on social media have called it “embarrassing” and “disgusting,” while others are questioning if it’s even legal for a former president to promote private commercial products like this.

One Reddit user shared the video and simply asked, “How is this legal?” A former U.S. government ethics official, Don Fox, previously explained that while it may seem inappropriate or unethical, the president is actually exempt from federal conflict of interest laws. That means technically, Trump isn’t breaking the law by promoting private products — but many people still feel it’s not something a president should do.
