Trump’s Late-Night Posting Spree Included Guarantee Obama Will Face Military Tribunal

President Donald Trump went on a late-night posting spree on Monday, sharing more than 160 posts on social media. In the middle of that long burst of activity, he reshared a message claiming that former President Barack Obama will soon face a “military tribunal.” The original message came from an anonymous account known as “@juliesnark1731,” a page that promotes conspiracy theories similar to those spread by QAnon supporters.

The original post claimed that once the Director of National Intelligence tells the public that Obama committed treason and that Trump is the “real president,” then a military trial for Obama is guaranteed. Trump reposted that message on Truth Social, giving it a huge boost and instantly drawing attention from his followers.

Shortly after Trump reshared the post, the same anonymous account celebrated the moment on X, saying that Trump’s repost was a major sign that the military tribunal they believe in is “coming.” The person behind the account wrote excitedly, adding religious praise and saying that hidden truths are finally being exposed. They posted a video clip, American flags, emojis, and a message praising Trump for amplifying their claim.

These types of extreme calls for military tribunals have become common among some of Trump’s most devoted supporters, especially those who follow conspiracy movements like QAnon. They believe, without evidence, that Trump’s political opponents are secretly involved in treason or criminal plots and should be tried by the military instead of in a regular court.

Trump himself has echoed these ideas multiple times. He has previously suggested that Obama should face a military tribunal. He has also called for former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney to be tried, and he has repeatedly said that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris should be jailed. None of these accusations have any legal basis, but they remain popular talking points in Trump’s online circle.

Earlier this year, in May, Trump amplified another Truth Social post that said “ALL ROADS LEAD TO OBAMA” and encouraged people to share the message if they wanted a “public military tribunal.” That post included a picture of Trump standing beside Obama, implying that Trump believed Obama was involved in some kind of wrongdoing. Trump reshared it immediately.

More recently, Trump has gone even further with his threats. Last month, he suggested that Democratic military veterans who currently serve in Congress should be executed. Their “crime,” according to Trump, was releasing a video encouraging U.S. service members to refuse unlawful orders — something that is actually required under military law. But Trump called their message “seditious behavior” and said it was “punishable by death.” He also boosted another post from an anonymous account that said the veterans should be hanged, adding that George Washington would have done the same.

These statements show how Trump has increasingly embraced extreme language and threats toward people he views as political enemies. His reposts have encouraged conspiracy theories, lifted fringe voices into the spotlight, and sparked fear among many Americans who worry about how far his rhetoric could go. His critics say these threats are dangerous and irresponsible, while his supporters treat them as signs of strength.
