Unhinged Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury Melts Down in Profanity Laced Tirade During House Oversight Committee Hearing (Video)
On Wednesday, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) made headlines again with a controversial outburst during a House Oversight Committee hearing on sanctuary cities. Instead of asking direct questions to the mayors of sanctuary cities who were testifying, she delivered a profanity-filled rant.
Stansbury criticized former President Trump’s immigration policies, calling efforts to deport criminals like child rapists and murderers “absolute bulls**t.” She started her remarks by joking that the hearing room should be “cleansed” after the discussions, implying that what was being said was absurd.
“Our mayors are sitting here, enduring this ridiculous hearing while being publicly threatened,” she said, arguing that the hearing was more about intimidating local officials than ensuring public safety. She further accused Trump and Congress of using taxpayer money for political ads that, in her words, falsely claim that Trump made America safer.
“It’s total bullst, absolute bullst,” she shouted, adding that these policies were not improving security but instead “terrorizing immigrant families.”
Her comments quickly spread across social media, drawing strong reactions from both supporters and critics.
This isn’t the first time Stansbury has made headlines for bold actions. During President Trump’s speech to Congress on Tuesday night, she held up a sign reading “This is not normal” as he walked past her. The protest was cut short when a Republican lawmaker grabbed the sign and tossed it aside, leaving Stansbury momentarily stunned.
