Donald Trump Drops a Stunning Truth About Where He’ll Be Buried When He Dies — It’s Not What You Think!

Donald Trump loves golf, especially during the summer months. Every year from June to September, he leaves Mar-a-Lago and spends most of his time at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. This large, 500-acre estate has become like his personal “Summer White House.”

Since returning to the presidency in January 2025, 78-year-old Trump has been spending nearly every weekend at Bedminster, a place he bought back in 2002. People close to him say he loves it even more than Mar-a-Lago. Insiders call it “his happy place.”

The Bedminster Golf Club is filled with luxury features like tennis courts, a helipad, a spa, and two high-end golf courses. Trump stays in a private cottage near the pool, while other family members, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, stay in nearby cottages.

The club also holds personal meaning for Trump, as his ex-wife Ivana is buried there. Trump has even said he would like to be buried there himself. Biographer David Cay Johnston calls it his “refuge.” After he won the 2016 election, Trump told club members that they were his real supporters—those who believed in him from the very beginning.

Trump has used Bedminster not just for relaxing but also for politics and business. He’s met with business leaders, political allies, and even picked members of his Cabinet there. Former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos once said Trump prefers the relaxed setting of the club for interviews. On top of everything, the club makes good money each year.

Joining the club isn’t cheap. The entry fee is around \$350,000, which means only wealthy and powerful people can become members—like top politicians and diplomats. Trump has also taken advantage of farm tax breaks by keeping hayfields and goats on the property.

Some members say that being active at the club helps people stay in Trump’s good books. For example, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick earned Trump’s approval, while others, like Jeff Sessions, didn’t. Having the president there has helped the club’s reputation grow.

A video of Trump golfing with pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau got over 15 million views online. Another fake but viral video showed Trump hitting Bruce Springsteen with a golf ball. Trump has been accused of cheating in golf before, but his close friends say that’s not true. Although celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson and Alice Cooper have hinted that Trump cheats, his supporters say he plays fairly and is polite on the course.

After the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, the PGA decided to move the 2022 PGA Championship away from Bedminster because they didn’t want to damage their image by being connected to Trump during a time of controversy.

Since then, Trump and his family, who are all big golf fans, have tried to improve their relationship with major golf organizations. Even though Bedminster lost the PGA event, it hosted two big tournaments for LIV Golf, a new league backed by Saudi Arabia. These events kept the club in the public eye, and some people believe it could still be chosen for important tournaments in the future if Trump’s ties with golf organizations get better.
