Trump posts bizarre AI video of Obama’s ‘arrest’ as he claims ‘no-one is above the law’

On Sunday, July 21, Donald Trump shared a strange, fake video online that used artificial intelligence to show former President Barack Obama getting arrested. He posted the video on Truth Social, his social media platform. In the clip, a computer-generated Obama is seen on his knees in the Oval Office, being handcuffed by FBI agents. Trump added the caption, “No one is above the law.” The video also included appearances from other Democratic figures like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, repeating the same phrase.

This post followed comments made by Tulsi Gabbard, who is currently serving as the Director of National Intelligence and is considered an ally of Trump. She recently made serious accusations against Obama, claiming he was involved in a “treasonous conspiracy” to sabotage Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Gabbard said she had declassified documents that suggest Obama used false intelligence to make it seem like foreign interference had affected the election. According to her, the real goal was to overturn the results and remove Trump from power.

Trump has been actively reposting Gabbard’s interviews all week and used her statements to support his claims. The AI video was part of that ongoing narrative. In one part of the video, Obama is shown being led away to prison in an orange jumpsuit while the song “YMCA” plays in the background.

Meanwhile, this all comes at a time when questions are still being asked about how Trump’s administration handled the Jeffrey Epstein case. Recently, the Department of Justice and FBI said there’s no solid evidence of a hidden “Epstein client list.” Still, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson demanded that all Epstein-related records be made public. Shortly afterward, Trump ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to get a court order to release transcripts from Epstein’s 2007–08 grand jury case in Florida.

Epstein, who was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor in 2008, served only 13 months in jail due to a plea deal. In 2019, he died in prison while waiting to face new charges involving sex trafficking of minors. Officials said it was suicide. Trump, who has been linked to Epstein in the past through social events, has continued to say he was never close to him and that he’s “not a fan.”

Obama’s team has not yet responded to the fake video.
