Donald Trump inches close to ‘pulling the trigger’ on ‘full-fledged war’: ‘Could begin very soon’

President Donald Trump appears to be getting very close to starting a major military conflict with Iran. Reports suggest that the situation could escalate into a full-scale war sooner than many Americans expect.
As several U.S. warships move quickly toward the region, it seems the Trump administration is preparing for possible military action. According to a report from Axios, Trump may be ready to take action if negotiations with Iran do not succeed. The buildup of military forces, along with strong public statements, is making it harder for him to step back unless Iran agrees to significant limits on its nuclear program.
Journalist Mike Allen wrote that Trump is not known for backing down easily. His advisers reportedly do not see the large military deployment as a bluff. While anything could happen, the overall mood inside the administration suggests that if diplomatic talks fail, military action could follow.
Earlier this week, U.S. officials met with Iranian representatives in Geneva in an attempt to reduce tensions and avoid further escalation. However, according to Vice President JD Vance, the discussions stalled. He said Iranian officials refused to recognize certain “red lines” set by Trump, meaning key demands that the U.S. considers non-negotiable.
Sources who spoke anonymously told Axios that the United States could soon find itself involved in a large war in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, two massive U.S. aircraft carriers — the USS Gerald R. Ford and the USS Abraham Lincoln — are currently positioned near Iran. Each of these carriers can hold dozens of aircraft and thousands of crew members. Reports say they are accompanied by dozens of other warships and hundreds of fighter jets.
In addition, more than 150 military cargo flights have reportedly delivered weapons and ammunition to the region. Within just the past day, about 50 more fighter jets were sent to reinforce U.S. forces there. All of this activity suggests that the United States is preparing for the possibility of serious military action, and that a major conflict could begin very soon if tensions are not resolved.
