Man makes startling rat discovery as he warns people ‘be careful on the toilet (Video)

In the now-viral TikTok clip, Jason slowly opens the toilet lid only to see a rat casually walking around inside the bowl. “So apparently these come up,” he says, clearly stunned. Before he can react, the rat suddenly disappears back down the pipes, leaving Jason yelling, “Ahh, he just disappeared! He went back down!”

Turns out, it’s not just an urban legend—rats really can swim through pipes and pop up in toilets. According to experts, these rodents are strong swimmers and can hold their breath for several minutes. Modern plumbing systems basically act like “rat highways,” giving them easy access from sewers straight into bathrooms.
