Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former President Donald Trump got into a heated back-and-forth after she criticized his decision to bomb Iran, saying it violated the Constitution and Congress’s power to declare war. She also suggested this move could be a reason to impeach him.
Trump didn’t take the criticism well. On his Truth Social platform, he went on a long, angry rant, calling Ocasio-Cortez “stupid” and “one of the dumbest people in Congress.” He mocked her intelligence, said she should take a cognitive test like the one he claimed to have aced, and insulted her by saying she never visits her district, which he described as dirty and full of crime. He even told her to go back to Queens to clean it up.
Ocasio-Cortez responded with sharp sarcasm. She told Trump not to get mad at her, calling herself “just a silly girl” — clearly mocking the way he was treating her. Then she told him to direct his anger at the people who advised him to bomb Iran and push the country toward war. She pointed out that in just five months, he had already gone back on most of the promises he made.
She didn’t stop there. After Trump criticized her connection to Queens, she corrected him by saying she’s actually from the Bronx — and added a playful jab, saying that Bronx girls could handle guys from Queens with ease.
By Tuesday afternoon, Trump hadn’t responded to her comeback.
