FBI chief warns he uncovered things which ‘shocked him down to his core’ as he vows to reveal ‘truth’ on Epstein files

Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer who became the FBI’s Deputy Director earlier this year, has stirred up a lot of speculation after posting a mysterious message on social media. On Saturday, July 26, he hinted that what he’s uncovered since joining the FBI has deeply disturbed him. He said that what he has seen has “shocked [him] down to [his] core” and that he will “never be the same.”
Although he didn’t spell out exactly what he was talking about, many believe his post was connected to the ongoing controversy around Jeffrey Epstein and his possible network of high-profile associates. Bongino promised that the American people would get the “answers we all deserve,” saying he’s committed to revealing “the truth.”
This comes amid reports of tension within the government. Earlier this month, Bongino allegedly had a heated disagreement with U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. That argument happened around the time new prison surveillance footage of Epstein’s final moments was released. While the Department of Justice said they wouldn’t be releasing more information, the FBI also claimed there was no actual “client list” tied to Epstein. But insiders later told NewsNation that both Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel would release all related evidence if it were up to them.
Despite various rumors, Bongino previously stated that he has seen Epstein’s entire case file and believes Epstein did take his own life in prison while waiting for trial on sex trafficking charges. However, the level of secrecy and confusion around the case has led many to think there’s still more being hidden.
The situation grew more tense when Pam Bondi, after earlier saying the Epstein client list was “on her desk,” later claimed there was no such list. That apparent contradiction reportedly made Bongino so frustrated that he considered resigning.
In his recent social media post, Bongino hinted at more revelations to come. He emphasized that he and the FBI Director are working hard to fight corruption and prevent law enforcement from being used for political reasons. He added that the things he’s learned while carrying out these investigations have been hard to stomach, suggesting that serious wrongdoing has been uncovered.
He promised the public that he would lead investigations with honesty and integrity, saying:
“Not ‘my truth’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH.”
People across the country are now waiting to see if Bongino follows through and reveals what he knows — or whether this is yet another statement that leaves more questions than answers.
Meanwhile, Trump has been under growing pressure over his past friendship with Epstein. He’s been accused of sending Epstein a suggestive birthday letter and even throwing a party with “calendar girls.” On top of that, Epstein’s long-time associate Ghislaine Maxwell has reportedly been questioned about as many as 100 people believed to be connected to the case.
Right now, it’s unclear where these investigations will lead, but the public is watching closely, waiting for some real clarity on one of the most controversial and secretive cases in recent memory.
