Iran issues direct assassination threat to Donald Trump in chilling response to ongoing attacks

Iran has made a threat against Donald Trump as the conflict between the United States and Iran continues to grow. The warning came after Trump said the US could carry out more attacks if Iran tries to block oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important shipping routes for oil in the world.

The tension increased after Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was reportedly killed during joint airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel. Khamenei had been Iran’s leader for decades and was only the second person to hold the powerful position. He became Supreme Leader in 1989 after the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who led the 1979 Islamic Revolution that brought the current government to power.

After Khamenei’s death, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was chosen to take over the position. His appointment is notable because he did not directly take part in the 1979 revolution that established the current Islamic government in Iran.

Following the loss of their leader, Iranian officials issued a strong warning directed at Donald Trump. They reminded the US president that many powerful nations in history have tried to conquer Iran but failed.

The message was delivered by Ali Ardashir Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. He shared the statement after Trump posted comments about Iran on his social media platform, Truth Social.

In his message, Larijani said that the Iranian nation would not be intimidated by threats. He said Iran has faced stronger enemies in the past and survived. He also warned Trump to be careful with his actions.

He signed the message on behalf of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and referred to the recent death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a martyrdom.

Trump has previously warned that the United States would respond with far stronger military action if Iran tries to disrupt oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow but extremely important waterway that connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. On one side of the strait is Iran, while the United Arab Emirates lies on the southern side.

This shipping route is vital for global energy supplies. Oil from countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq passes through the strait before heading to markets around the world. Ships can travel west through the Suez Canal toward Europe or east toward countries like Pakistan and India.

About 20 percent of the world’s oil supply passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Because of the growing conflict in the region, oil prices have already risen sharply, with the price of a barrel climbing to around $119.

Normally, around 100 ships pass through the strait every day. However, since the conflict escalated, the number of vessels using the route has dropped significantly.

Reports say that only a small number of ships that are not connected to Iran or Russia have been willing to pass through the area. In one case, a vessel turned off its tracking system while heading toward Mumbai. Another ship reportedly signaled that it was owned and operated by Chinese crews.

The sharp decline in shipping traffic has happened despite attempts by Trump to calm the situation. The US president recently announced a $20 billion insurance support plan to help shipping companies and encourage oil tankers to continue using the route.

Trump has also urged tanker crews not to be afraid and told them to “show some guts” as tensions in the region continue to rise.
