Queen Camilla’s bombshell demand to Harry and Meghan in devastating new blow to Sussexes

Queen Camilla is said to have laid down a strict condition for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ahead of their expected reunion with King Charles, in what many believe shows how little trust remains between the Royal Family and the Sussexes.

Reports claim that Prince Harry and Meghan, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to travel to the UK next month for the Invictus Games. During the visit, there is also speculation that they could meet King Charles as part of efforts to improve their strained relationship after years of public disagreements.

However, according to reports, any meeting with the King would come with strict rules. One of the biggest claims is that Queen Camilla wants Harry and Meghan to hand over their mobile phones before meeting the King. It has also been reported that no recording devices would be allowed during any private conversations. The reported move is said to be aimed at making sure nothing discussed behind closed doors is later shared publicly or leaked to the media.

TalkTV presenter Kevin O’Sullivan strongly criticised the Sussexes while discussing the reports. He claimed that although Harry and Meghan appear ready to accept the King’s invitation to stay at a royal residence during their visit, any hopes of a full reconciliation may be far from reality.

According to O’Sullivan, even if Harry meets his father, the reunion will likely be kept completely private and carefully controlled. He claimed that Queen Camilla does not trust the couple and wants to ensure that family conversations remain confidential.

He also suggested that King Charles is still uneasy about Meghan and claimed that the upcoming reunion has filled the monarch with concern rather than excitement. While these remarks reflect O’Sullivan’s personal opinions, they have added to growing speculation about the continuing tensions within the Royal Family.

There have also been claims that Queen Camilla plans to keep her distance from Harry and Meghan during their visit. Speaking on the Daily Expresso podcast, Daily Express columnist Carole Malone said she believes Camilla has no intention of spending time with the couple when they arrive.

Malone argued that Camilla has good reason to avoid Harry after the criticism he directed at her in his 2023 memoir Spare. In the bestselling book, Harry described his stepmother in highly critical terms, calling her “evil” and a “villain,” while accusing her of damaging relationships within the family.

Carole Malone also criticised Harry for publishing such personal details about the Royal Family. She said she believes revealing private family matters in a book for the public was a major betrayal, arguing that it damaged trust between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Buckingham Palace has not publicly confirmed that Harry and Meghan will be required to hand over their phones or that Queen Camilla personally issued such a demand. The reported conditions and comments are based on media reports and opinions rather than official statements from the Palace or the Sussexes.
