Russell Brand Spends His First Night in Jail After Being Found Guilty of Rape and Sexual Assault, But What Reportedly Happened to Him Inside Left Him Terrified

Russell Brand has spent his first night behind bars after being found guilty of raping a young fan and sexually assaulting three other women. Reports have now revealed what the comedian allegedly went through during his first night in prison and how he is being treated while waiting to hear his sentence.
The 51-year-old actor and comedian was convicted at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, November 5, following a trial involving several allegations of sexual offences against women.
The jury found Brand guilty of sexually assaulting an MTV worker at a party in a Soho bar in 2004. However, he was cleared of a separate allegation that he later forced her into a toilet and orally raped her.
He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman who worked in radio after meeting her in a corridor in 2005.
Another conviction involved a 21-year-old fan whom Brand met after performing at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2009. The jury found him guilty of raping her.
Brand was also convicted of sexually assaulting a woman working in television during a forced massage in 2009.
However, he was found not guilty of raping a woman he met at a cabaret event during the 1999 Labour Party conference in Bournemouth. He was also cleared of an allegation that he tried to drag an MTV worker into a toilet to sexually assault her in 2001.
After hearing the jury’s decision, Brand was told by Mr Justice Bennathan that he would face a long prison sentence.
The judge ordered him to remain in custody until Monday, November 9, when he is expected to return to court to receive his sentence.
Brand’s lawyer, Ian Winter KC, asked the judge to allow him to spend the weekend with his family before being sent to prison.
He argued that Brand should be granted bail as an act of kindness so he could say goodbye to his children.
However, the judge refused the request because of concerns that Brand might run away rather than return to court for sentencing.
When the judge ordered him to be taken into custody, Brand simply replied, “Yes, my lord.”
There were also emotional moments inside the courtroom.
Before the jury announced its decision, Brand reportedly turned to his wife, Laura Gallacher, and told her that he loved her.
As prison officers led him away, he repeatedly mouthed the words “I’m OK” towards his lawyers.
But reports suggest that Brand’s confidence may have disappeared once he arrived in prison.
According to The Sun, the former television presenter was allegedly terrified about spending his first night behind bars.
A source claimed that Brand was extremely frightened because he was entering a completely different environment from the comfortable lifestyle he had enjoyed for many years.
The source explained that arriving in prison for the first time can be a frightening experience for anyone, especially someone who is used to fame, freedom and luxury.
Like other new prisoners, Brand would be expected to go through the prison reception process, which can include being searched, changing into prison clothing and receiving basic items needed for his stay.
The source said the experience would be a major shock for the comedian.
Instead of enjoying the comforts of his home, Brand would have to adjust to prison rules, limited freedom and a completely different daily routine.
Reports also claim that prison officers are keeping a close watch on him around the clock.
The source suggested that Brand would initially be kept away from other prisoners for his own safety while officers monitored his condition.
However, these claims about his first night in custody have not been independently confirmed.
Meanwhile, the senior police officer who led the investigation into Brand has warned that the case may not be over.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said he believes Brand could still pose a risk to women because of his public influence and the large number of people who follow him.
When asked whether he believed Brand remained a danger to women, the detective said yes.
He explained that Brand still has a position of power and trust, along with millions of followers, which could make him influential despite his convictions.
The detective also confirmed that police investigations involving Brand are continuing.
He said officers are still working on the case and believe more women may come forward with allegations.
Police have encouraged anyone who believes they were sexually assaulted or raped by Brand but has not yet spoken to investigators to contact them.
For now, Brand remains in custody as he waits to find out how many years he will spend in prison.
His sentencing is scheduled for Monday, November 9, when the court is expected to decide the length of his prison term following his convictions.
