Donald Trump Launches Furious Attack on Barack Obama After Discovering Who He Is Campaigning For in Michigan

President Donald Trump has launched a strong attack on former US President Barack Obama after Obama attended a political rally in Detroit, Michigan, to support Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, late on Saturday night at exactly 11:42 PM Eastern Time, where he criticised Obama, questioned his achievements as president, and made several serious accusations against the Democratic candidate.

The president appeared unhappy about Obama’s decision to campaign for El-Sayed, who is hoping to win a seat in the US Senate.

Trump began his message by attacking Obama’s time in the White House, describing him as an incompetent leader who made serious mistakes while running the country.

“Obama was a grossly incompetent President!” Trump wrote.

He also accused Obama of giving Iran billions of dollars and helping the country move closer to developing nuclear weapons.

“He paid off Iran with $Billions, and gave them a road to a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump claimed.

The comments appeared to refer to the nuclear agreement reached with Iran during Obama’s presidency. However, Trump’s description of the agreement is disputed, and the deal was intended to restrict Iran’s nuclear activities.

Trump then reminded his followers about Obama’s previous attempts to help Democratic presidential candidates win elections.

He pointed to the 2016 presidential election, when Obama strongly supported Hillary Clinton against Trump. Despite Obama’s public support and campaign appearances, Clinton lost the election.

Trump also mentioned former Vice President Kamala Harris, who received Obama’s support during the 2024 presidential election but was defeated by Trump.

“He said that Crooked Hillary Clinton was going to WIN, he campaigned hard for her, and she lost in all directions and ways. He then campaigned full out for Kamala, and likewise, she lost,” Trump wrote.

After attacking Obama’s political record, Trump turned his attention to Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate Obama had travelled to Michigan to support.

El-Sayed is a medical doctor and public health expert who previously served as the head of Detroit’s health department. He has also been involved in politics and has spoken publicly about healthcare and other issues affecting Americans.

However, Trump made several serious allegations against him, including accusations about his religious and political beliefs.

“Now he’s campaigning for a Muslim Brotherhood Jihadist, who hates Jews and Blacks and AMERICANS and TRUMP, and he is going to lose, also,” Trump wrote.

The president also questioned El-Sayed’s medical background and attacked a clinic he associated with the candidate.

“He’s a Fake Doctor, who runs what is considered to be the WORST CLINIC IN AMERICA,” Trump added.

Trump did not provide evidence to support these accusations. His statements about El-Sayed’s religious beliefs, alleged hatred towards different communities, and medical qualifications should therefore be treated as unproven claims rather than established facts.

The president continued by praising his own achievements in Michigan, a state that has played an important role in recent American presidential elections.

Trump claimed that his administration had helped bring back jobs and businesses, particularly in the car manufacturing industry, which has long been an important part of Michigan’s economy.

He also said he had helped restore an Air Force base and improve other areas of the state.

According to Trump, voters in Michigan should support Republican candidate Mike Rogers instead of El-Sayed.

“Michigan doesn’t want an arrogant, Open Borders, Fake Doctor, Jihadist, whose reputation will only get worse as more information is revealed – And there’s plenty,” Trump wrote.

He ended his message by directly encouraging voters to support Rogers.

“VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS! He will never let you down!” the president declared.

Mike Rogers is a former Republican member of Congress who is seeking to represent Michigan in the US Senate. He is competing against El-Sayed for the seat being vacated by Democratic Senator Gary Peters, who is retiring.

The election is important to both major political parties because the result could affect the balance of power in the Senate.

Republicans are hoping to win the seat, while Democrats want to keep it under their control.

Obama’s visit to Detroit was part of efforts to encourage Democratic supporters to vote in the upcoming election. During the rally, the former president showed his support for El-Sayed and also campaigned for Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who is running for governor as the Democratic candidate.

The rally brought attention to the Democratic candidates as the election approaches, but it also prompted Trump’s angry response on social media.

Trump’s latest comments show that the political rivalry between him and Obama remains strong, even though Obama left the White House nearly ten years ago.

The two leaders have regularly criticised each other over their political decisions, leadership styles and visions for America’s future.

With the election drawing closer, both Republicans and Democrats are expected to increase their campaign activities in Michigan as they try to convince voters to support their candidates.

For now, Trump’s message has added another heated exchange to the political contest, with the president making it clear that he wants Republican Mike Rogers to defeat the candidate backed by Barack Obama.
