Kanye West’s ex-partner Amber Rose explains real reason he ‘dresses girlfriends in X-rated outfits’

Amber Rose, who once dated Kanye West, has spoken out about how the rapper influences the way his girlfriends dress, especially after his current wife, Bianca Censori, made headlines for her daring outfit at the Grammys.

Amber was in a relationship with Kanye between 2008 and 2010 before she later had a child with rapper Wiz Khalifa. After their breakup, Kanye went on to marry Kim Kardashian, and they were together for eight years before divorcing in 2022. Soon after, he married Bianca Censori in December 2022.

Recently, Kanye and Bianca have been in the spotlight, not just because of his usual controversial social media rants but also due to Bianca’s revealing outfit at the Grammys. Her outfit, or rather the lack of it, had people talking. Let’s just hope the event organizers had the heating on because she certainly wasn’t wearing much.

Lately, there have been ongoing rumors that Kanye and Bianca’s marriage is in trouble and that they might be heading for a divorce. However, Kanye appeared to shut down those rumors when he posted a nearly-nude picture of Bianca on Instagram, as if to prove they were still together.

This raises the question: why does Kanye seem so determined to dress his partners in extremely revealing outfits? Given his massive wealth—reportedly worth £2.27 billion—why doesn’t he choose to buy them more modest clothing?

Amber Rose recently shared her thoughts on this during an interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast with former NFL star Shannon Sharpe. She explained that Kanye has always been like this and that he deliberately styles his girlfriends in a way that makes them highly desirable to other men.

“Kanye is definitely the one choosing those outfits,” Amber said. “He did the same thing with me and Kim. That’s just who he is. He likes it when other men desire his woman. That’s what excites him. He wants his friends to look at his girlfriend and think she’s the most attractive woman in the room.”

She even went as far as saying, “He wants his friends to want to sleep with his girlfriend. He likes knowing that other men are drooling over her.”

Amber also reflected on her own experience when she was dating Kanye. She explained that while she would wear the flashy, revealing outfits he picked when they were together, she dressed completely differently when she was on her own.

“I was young at the time, and when someone’s buying you all these expensive clothes, you think, ‘Okay, this looks nice, I guess,’” she recalled. “But if you look at old photos of me when I wasn’t with Kanye, I was always wearing his clothes. Baggy jeans, a big T-shirt, a jacket. I’d raid his closet when he wasn’t home because I hated dressing like that.”

She admitted that she used to rebel against his fashion choices when he wasn’t around. “When I was alone, I was always in sweatpants, Jordans, maybe a dad hat. I like dressing comfortably.”

Amber also shared a particular memory of when Kanye pressured her to wear something extremely revealing while they were in Italy or Paris. She said she felt uncomfortable and even argued with him about it.

“I remember crying and telling him, ‘I don’t f****** want to wear this.’ And he just said, ‘You don’t understand, this is fashion. I’m a genius.’”

Despite her protests, she eventually gave in and wore the outfit. But after stepping out in it, she was torn apart by people online, proving that the outfit was more controversial than “fashion-forward.”

Her revelations give insight into Kanye’s mindset when it comes to styling his partners and suggest that his fashion choices aren’t just about trends but about his personal preferences and need for attention.
