Police Release CCTV Showing The Moment a 21-Year-Old Man Was Kidnapped From His Home in Telford

A group of five men have been convicted after kidnapping a 21-year-old man from his home in Telford and taking him to a storage unit where he was brutally attacked.

West Mercia Police released CCTV footage showing the terrifying moment the victim was forced from his home in Arleston before being driven away against his will. Investigators said he was then taken to a storage unit, where he was violently assaulted.

Following a trial, Haider Ali was found guilty of kidnap. Four other men, Jawad Hussain, Ehteshan Hussain, Faheem Chohan and Shayyan Hussain, had already admitted their roles by pleading guilty before the trial began.

A sixth defendant, Shariq Raza, was found not guilty by the court.

The case has now concluded, and all five convicted men are expected to be sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court at a later hearing.

West Mercia Police said the CCTV footage was released to show the seriousness of the crime and the investigation that led to the convictions. The victim was kidnapped from his own home before being taken to another location, where he suffered a violent assault.

The five convicted men will now return to court for sentencing, where a judge will decide how long each of them will spend behind bars for their involvement in the kidnapping and attack.
