‘Pure Shamelessness’: Critics Rip Karoline Leavitt’s ‘Dangerous’ New Lie For Trump

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is facing a wave of criticism after she made an extremely bold statement praising former President Donald Trump’s recent military strike in Iran. During a Fox News interview, she described the bombing campaign as something “no other president in history could have ever dreamed of,” which many say went far beyond reasonable praise.

Leavitt’s comment came after Trump claimed that U.S. B-2 bombers had “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s ability to produce nuclear weapons. But according to leaked U.S. intelligence reports, the reality is far less dramatic. The reports suggest that Iran’s nuclear program might only be delayed by a few months at most—not destroyed.

Trump responded to this by attacking the press, calling the outlets that reported the leaks “scum.” Leavitt echoed his tone, labeling the reports as “fake news” and accusing members of the U.S. intelligence community of leaking selective information to harm the president’s reputation.

Despite the fiery statements, it was Leavitt’s claim that Trump achieved something no other U.S. president in history ever could that drew the most backlash online. Critics were quick to point out that past presidents have led the nation through far more significant events, such as the Civil War, World War I, and World War II.

Many people on social media mocked Leavitt for what they saw as an absurd level of praise and compared her tone to that of North Korean state-run media. Some questioned whether she had ever read a history book, while others sarcastically asked if she thought major historical events like D-Day were somehow less impressive than a single airstrike.

A few commenters even joked that she must have taken a propaganda course in North Korea, referencing the over-the-top way she talked about Trump. Critics accused her of pushing a false narrative and downplaying the limited impact of the operation, simply to make the former president look like a military genius.

The backlash highlights a growing concern among some that government spokespeople are crossing a line between defending their leaders and blindly idolizing them—especially when it means rewriting history or ignoring facts.
