Donald Trump throws tantrum over ‘loud and unattractive people’ in latest rant against communism

President Donald Trump has launched another strong attack on what he describes as the growing influence of communism in American politics, claiming that the Democratic Party is being pushed further to the left by a group of outspoken figures.
In a post shared on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump said the Democratic Party had lost control of its direction and accused what he called the “Radical Left Lunatics” of taking over. He also used his long-running nickname for Democrats, calling them “Dumocrats,” and argued that the party was now being led by “loud and unattractive people” who, in his view, had abandoned mainstream American values.
Trump went on to warn that what he described as a “sick, Communist ideology” was gaining influence in the United States. He said he hoped more moderate Democrats would push back against those leading the party in a more left-wing direction before, he claimed, the ideology spreads further across the country.
His latest comments come as he has increasingly used the words “communism” and “socialism” in speeches and online posts over recent weeks. The renewed focus follows a series of victories by self-described democratic socialist candidates in Democratic primary elections, something Trump has repeatedly pointed to as evidence that the party is moving further left.
Supporters of the president argue that these election results show a growing shift toward more progressive policies within the Democratic Party. However, critics say Trump is exaggerating the issue and using the debate over communism as a political strategy to energize his supporters ahead of future elections.
Opponents also argue that the president’s repeated attacks on communism are designed to divert attention from ongoing concerns facing many Americans, particularly the rising cost of living and affordability issues. They say many voters remain more focused on everyday economic challenges, including housing costs, groceries, healthcare and inflation, than on ideological debates.
