Jon Stewart Just Spotted Something In Trump’s Jesus Pic — And We Can’t Unsee It

Jon Stewart reacted with shock and sarcasm after seeing a controversial image posted by Donald Trump that appeared to show the president as a Christ-like figure.

Speaking on The Daily Show, Stewart joked that he might actually be the sick man in the image who was being “healed” by Trump. Looking at the picture, he laughed and said he didn’t realize things had gotten that bad for him, mocking his own appearance and exaggerating how weak he looked compared to his younger days.

He kept the joke going, saying the scene made it look like he had been seriously ill and barely hanging on, but was thankfully surrounded by loved ones. As he compared the other people in the image to family members, he admitted the whole thing felt strange and unsettling, even as he continued to joke about it.

The image itself caused a strong reaction online. It showed Trump wearing a white robe with a red sash, placing his hand on a man’s forehead as if performing a healing. Around them were military figures and a nurse, while the background included dramatic elements like fighter jets, eagles, fireworks, and the Statue of Liberty. Many people believed the image was created using AI.

The timing made things even more controversial. The post appeared on Truth Social on the same day as Orthodox Easter, which led to criticism from both political figures and religious leaders. Some felt it was disrespectful to share something like that on such an important religious day, especially while Trump has been publicly clashing with Pope Leo XIV.

This wasn’t the first time Trump or his team had posted exaggerated or symbolic images of him online. In the past, he has been shown as superhero figures like Superman or even dressed as the pope, and he has also shared ideas about having his face added to Mount Rushmore. But for many critics, this particular image went too far because of its religious tone.

Trump later defended the post, saying it was meant to show him as a “doctor” helping someone, not as a religious figure. Despite that explanation, the image was taken down from his account not long after it was posted.

Stewart didn’t accept that explanation at all. He mocked Trump for backing away from the meaning of the image, suggesting that if he was going to post something so bold, he should at least stand by it. Stewart also took a broader swipe, saying Trump’s statements don’t carry the same energy they once did, accusing him of no longer putting effort into making his claims believable.
