Man Who Was Deported From the UK Twice Is Showing Off Cash and Luxury Cars Online, But There’s One Reason He Still Hasn’t Been Removed
Dorian Puka, a 29-year-old Albanian man who has already been deported from the UK twice, is once again attracting attention after allegedly returning to Britain and showing off a luxury lifestyle on social media. The Home Office is now working to remove him from the country for a third time.
Puka has shared videos and photos online showing large amounts of cash, expensive cars, designer clothes and luxury watches. In one clip, he appears to feed his two dogs, Cobra and Mouse, bundles of £20 and £50 notes. Other videos show him driving high-end vehicles, including Ferraris and a Lamborghini Urus V8 worth around £180,000. He has also posted images of himself wearing Rolex watches, eating at expensive restaurants and enjoying a lavish lifestyle.
His criminal history in the UK dates back to 2016, when he was jailed after attempting to break into a home in Twickenham. He served nine months in prison before being deported to Albania in 2017. However, within a year he had returned to the UK illegally, according to reports, and went on to commit another series of burglaries.
Police later arrested him in Surbiton, south-west London. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison before being deported for a second time in March 2020. Despite that, he is believed to have made his way back into Britain once again.
According to the Daily Mail, Puka has spent the past 18 months regularly posting content on social media that appears to show his wealth and luxury lifestyle. His online posts have sparked fresh questions about how he managed to return to the UK after being removed twice.
Although his criminal convictions make him eligible for deportation, the Home Office has so far been unable to remove him because his asylum claim is still being considered. Until that legal process is completed, officials are limited in what action they can take.
A Home Office spokesperson said Puka is a known foreign national offender and confirmed that officials are doing everything possible to ensure he is removed from the UK as soon as legal proceedings allow. The spokesperson added that nearly 10,000 foreign national offenders have been removed from Britain under the current Government and said ministers remain committed to removing criminals who have no right to stay in the country.
The case comes as the Government pushes ahead with tougher immigration laws. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is backing changes designed to make it harder for foreign criminals to use human rights arguments to avoid deportation.
Under the proposed Immigration and Asylum Bill, ministers want to tighten the rules surrounding Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects the right to private and family life. The Government says the reforms are intended to reduce legal loopholes that some offenders have relied on to delay or block their removal from the UK, particularly by citing family connections or long-term residence. If approved, the new measures are expected to make the deportation process faster and more difficult for serious foreign offenders to challenge.
