Meghan Markle has come under fresh attention after claims that she spoke proudly about her recent trip to the UK during a glamorous dinner party in California.
According to American television personality and lifestyle expert Martha Stewart, Meghan attended a dinner party shortly after returning from Britain and was talking with other guests about her visit.
The trip included a reunion between Meghan, Prince Harry, their two children, and King Charles at Highgrove House. During their stay, the family also appeared to pay their respects at Princess Diana’s grave.
Speaking to People magazine, Martha Stewart said she attended the same dinner party as Meghan. She explained that they only exchanged a few words, but she noticed Meghan speaking about her recent visit to the palace with other people at the event.
The UK visit came after months of speculation over whether Meghan and the children would travel to Britain to join Prince Harry during events marking one year until the Invictus Games. At first, they did not travel because of concerns about security, but those concerns later appeared to be resolved, making the family visit possible.
The trip also attracted criticism after Harry and Meghan shared several personal photos online. Some critics argued that the couple, who have often spoken about wanting more privacy and better security, were sharing too much of their private lives.
Among the pictures was one taken near Princess Diana’s grave at Althorp. Meghan also shared a photo that appeared to show Harry’s uncle, Earl Spencer, with his wife, Cat Jarman, in the background.
Other images showed Prince Harry playing with his daughter in a swimming pool, Archie sitting in the cockpit of a commercial aircraft with the flight crew, and another photo of their son walking through the countryside.
Photos reportedly taken near the family’s holiday home in Portugal also sparked debate. Some commentators warned that modern online tools could make it easier for people to identify the location of the property, raising questions about the family’s security and privacy concerns.
